History and Location Change
This park is one of the most iconic baseball stadiums in all of American sports. The park officially opened on opened April,11 2000. The San Francisco Giants franchise moved from its original home Candlestick Park, just outside of the city, to a new park in downtown San Francisco. The park had gone through four different names, because of sponsors. The original name of this ball park was called Pacific Bell Park, or some called Pac Bell Park. The sponsor and the name stuck around for three years, then changed its name to SBC Park in 2004. By 2007, the park changed its sponsor again and for eleven years it was called AT&T Park. Now in 2019, they have gone through another sponsor change and the park is now called Oracle Park.
